To take the classic, old style screenshot, all you have to do is press the Power and the Home button at the same time.

You can also swipe the palm of your hand really close to the screen, from right to left edge to capture a screenshot. This is not a new feature but it�s very handy indeed.

With a key combination

  • Open the content you wish to screenshot.
  • At the same time, press and hold both the power button and home button for two seconds.
  • You�ll see the screen briefly flash, and a notification appear.
  • Check your notifications, where you�ll see the screenshot and an option to share, edit or delete it.

With a palm swipe

  • Open the content you wish to screenshot.
  • Place your hand vertically along the left or right edge of your Note 5, and swipe in from that edge with your hand touching the screen.
  • You�ll see the screen briefly flash, and a notification appear.
  • Check your notifications, where you�ll see the screenshot and an option to share, edit or delete it.
  • (Optional) If this method doesn�t work, check Settings > Motion and gestures to enable it.

With this setting turned on, you can use the outer side of (little finger down) hand to swipe across the screen. When you do, you'll see the screen flash and hear the same camera shutter sound you would normally hear when taking a screenshot.

Screenshot images can be saved on the phone memory under �Pictures� > �Screenshots�, or in the �Gallery � app within a �Screenshots� folder. As said before, you can also go ahead and pull the notifications bar down to see the recently snapped screenshot. This post applies to the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 model SM-N920.
